TinyDuino Processor Board (ASM2001-R-B) Rectangular with battery holder

HCTICI0002

New

The TinyCircuits TinyDuino is an Arduino compatible board in an ultra compact package. Imagine the possibilities of having the full power of an Arduino Uno in a size less than a quarter! The TinyDuino processor board is roughly equivalent to the Arduino Uno board – same processor, same signals brought out to a shield connector. In fact, most Arduino sketches will work as is without any changes.

Each module in the TinyDuino family has been optimized to include only the core circuits for it’s specific function to keep the size as low as possible at the best possible price. The main TinyDuino processor board includes the core processor circuitry, however the USB and DC power regulators have been offloaded to TinyShields. So for example, if you have a project that doesn’t need support for DC power above 5 volts, you don’t need to include the Power TinyShield, saving you money and keep the overall size down. Or if you don’t need USB on your project, you’d only need one USB TinyShield that you’d use to program your boards

Includes:

Atmega328P processor (same as is used on the Arduino Uno)
Reset switch
Status LED
8MHz ceramic resonator
Optional battery connector for CR1612-CR1632 coin cell batteries
External power supported with a 0.1″ power connection holes
Supports automatic switching between +5V and VBATT (if +5V is present, it will be used instead of the battery)

Notes:

To program this board, you need to use the TinyShield USB & ICP Board (See HCTICI0003). When used with the Arduino development enviroment you will need to select 'Arduino Pro or Pro Mini (3.3V, 8MHz)' for the board type. Remember, the TinyDuino is 8MHz, not 16MHz!

This board does not include a voltage regulator – do not supply more than +5.5V to VBATT or the +5V signal or you will permanently damage the board and ruin your day.
