This infra-red reflecting sensor module (HCSENS0016) is ideal for application were reflective sensing of a nearby object is required. An on-board potentiometer allows adjustment of the fixed digital output sensitivity from approximately 0.5 to 4.5CM. This makes the module ideal for sensing nearby passing objects, or for line tracking / proximity sensing in robotic applications. The module is similar to our line hunting sensor module (HCARDU0005) but has the infra-red sensor fitted to the reverse side of the module.
